Saint Maria Goretti - church in Ubersetto (MO)

The new Church of Ubersetto was inaugurated on Sunday 14.12.2014 with the mass and the rite of Dedication, presided over by the bishop of the Diocese of Modena - Nonantola Antonio Lanfranchi and the parish priest of Ubersetto Don Angelo Lovati.

Dedicated to Santa Maria Goretti, a young victim of murder following an attempted rape in 1902 by Serenelli who later converted.

The Church was designed by the architect Giovanni Cavani from Fiorano Modenese

In 2021, the statue of Mary – Queen of Angels and 2024 on the tenth anniversary the figure of Santa Maria Goretti and Serenelli was created
