“The Angel of Marzabotto”

“Let’s learn to see the world through Don Giovanni’s glasses”

Not just a monument, but a path, a place of prayer, a work that brings what they tried to hide out of oblivion. Artistic installation inaugurated on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the San Martino di Caprara Cemetery in Monte Sole by the archbishop Cardinal H.E. Matteo Zuppi from the Archdiocese of Bologna and the BCC Federation Emilia-Romagna.  The work is dedicated to Don Giovanni Fornasini, the young priest who was brutally killed by the Nazis on October 13, 1944, a few days after the massacre in nearby Marzabotto.

Project engineer Aldo Barbieri from Studio Enarco, executed by Filip Moroder Doss.

Creator of the work Monsignor Giovanni Silvagni, together with Sister Cristina Ghitti and Aldo Barbieri
